NEZPERCE: Kathryn M. Puckett, 66 of Nezperce passed away Sunday, September 18, 2005 at
St. Mary's Hospital in Cottonwood.
Kathryn was born November 9, 1938 at Taunton, Massachusetts a daughter of George and Rita H. Shumway Cabana.
She attended schools in Massachusetts. She worked as a receptionist for a local doctor. She married Albert Puckett in
1958 and they lived in several states and also in Germany before Mr. Puckett retired from the military. In 1971 they
moved to Nezperce where she worked for Lewis County as a court recorder for several years. In their retirement years
they enjoyed camping. Mr. Puckett passed away in 1999. Kathryn returned to Massachusetts a year and a half ago to
take care of her ill mother and became ill herself and moved back to Nezperce this past February.
She enjoyed camping, crossword puzzles, crocheting and reading.
She was a member of the Nezperce Christian Church, ICAN, and the Nezperce senior citizens.
She is survived by her two sons, Don and Lisa Puckett of Nezperce, and Stuart and Chun Puckett of Elizabethtown, Kentucky,
her mother, Rita Cabana of Massachusetts her grandchildren, Stacy Puckett, Tracy Puckett, and Madison Puckett and a
great grandson, Nikoloz. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Cabana of Sedro Woolly, Washington and her sisters,
Lois Serpa of Massachusetts and Joan Sawtell of Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband and a
granddaughter Mandy Morse.
