A. ROWENA (JAMES) SHUMWAY, A. Rowena (James) Shumway, 79, Kansas City, MO, passed away November 14, 2005. Funeral
services will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 18, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., where visitation will be
from 12-1 p.m. prior to service. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Rowena was born March 11, 1926 in Hannibal, MO. She graduated
from Palmyra, MO High School and moved to Kansas City to work at the Unity School of Christianity. Rowena retired after many years
with the IRS. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Claude Peppard Shumway, her parents Clarence and
Keziah James, her sister Keziah and brothers Clarence, Malcolm, Russell and Kenneth. Survivors include son,
Brent (Jolene) Shumway; daughters, Rebecca (Pat) Ponce, Kezie (Nick) Vaught, and Kim (Jim) Brown; nine grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Regional Care Hospice,
16 Westwoods Dr., Liberty, MO 64068 or Parkinson's Foundation of the Heartland, 7800 Foster, Overland Park, KS 66204.
