ATHENS - Hollis C Williams, 69, of Jacobs Avenue, Chauncey, died
Saturday afternoon in Akron City Hospital.
Born in Hocking County, he was the son of the late Elroy and Martha
Locke Williams. He was a World War II Army veteran. He lived in
Barberton for 42 years and retired from the Seiberling Tire and Rubber
Co, Barberton, in 1966.
He is survived by his wife Eulalia Irion Williams; a son and
daughter-in-law, Larry and Shirley Williams of Akron; two grandsons,
Brian and Scott Williams, both of Akron; and a sister, Mrs. Stan
(Flossie) Shutt of Hemet, Calif. He was also preceded in death by a
brother, Ivor Williams.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 AM in the Hughes Funeral Home,with the
Rev. Cecil Cox officiating. Burial will be at Mound Hill Cemetery,
Gallipolis. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and7 to 9
PM today. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made
to the charity of your choice.
