BURKE, Va. — Grace Lillian Manny Elmendorf, 88, died on Thursday, March 2, 2000.
She was the beloved wife of the late New York State Trooper Edward C. Elmendorf.
She was a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Oneonta, N.Y.
She worked at Coddington's Florist and in the Oneonta Schools cafeteria.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Edward M. Elmendorf, and his wife, Carol; daughter, Sharon Shumway, and her husband, Grant;
sister, Helen Schoonmaker; granddaughter, Kimberly Grace Scheinder; grandson, Eric Edward Elmendorf;
and four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Eric Jr., Blake and Brandon.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 4, 2000, at 1 p.m. at Demaine Springfield-Annandale Chapel,
Backlick and Edsall Roads, Springfield, Va.; (703) 549-0074.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Burke Lake Gardens, 9608 Old Keene Mill Road, Burke, Va. 22015.
