LOGAN, Utah - Samuel Shumway's 16-hour stay on this earth occurred Wednesday Oct. 10, 2001. His birth was much anticipated by
family and friends, who also grieve his death. He was born at 2:18 a.m. at the McKay-Dee hospital in Ogden, Utah, and died at 6:09 p.m.
at the Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He weighed 2 lbs. 14 oz., was 15 inches long and had light brown hair. He was
a beautiful baby.
He is the fifth child of Andrew and Janae Shumway of North Logan, Utah. He has two brothers, Braxton and Enoch, and two sisters,
Brittany and Sharilyn. His grandparents are Rex and Linda Shumway and Lyle and Nora West of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He was a gift sent from God to us and we look forward to being reunited with him someday.
His graveside service was held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday at the Logan City Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their thanks to all the neighbors, friends, family, medical teams and those of the Allen-Cranney Mortuary
who have offered their sympathies, love and other support during this difficult time.
