PRATT - Mary Ellen Shumway, 74, died June 5, 2007, in Pratt Rehab and Residence Center, Pratt.
She was born Jan. 21, 1933, in Pratt, the daughter of the late Archibald and Lydia Betz McDowell. She worked for the
Pratt High School Cafeteria for many years and also kept books for Ron Shumway Construction.
On June 21, 1951, she married Ron F. Shumway in Pratt. He died on June 18, 1997.
Survivors include: two sons, Dan Shumway, Pratt, and Steve Shumway, Pratt; a daughter, Cindy Tilley, Pratt; a brother,
Robert McDowell, Lyman, Wyo.; a sister, Betty Davis, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Charles, William and Archie McDowell.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, with the Rev. Dan Ferguson presiding.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Larrison Mortuary,
300 Country Club Road, Pratt.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Parkinson's Foundation, Pratt County Humane Society or donors choice, all in care
of the mortuary.
