OBITUARY: C.L. RICE PASSES AWAY
FUNERAL SERVICES IN SHAW CHRISTIAN CHURCH TOMORROW AFTERNOON
C. L. Rice died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Walter Gray, 225
South Lafayette avenue. Funeral services will be form the Christian Church at
Shaw tomorrow afternoon at 2. The funeral party will leave the Gray residence
at 1. Services ill be in charge of the Rev. J. B. Brown of Galesburg and
burial will be at Shaw. Mr. Rice was 60 years of age and had been a resident
of the Shaw community since childhood. He was born in Illinois but came to
this section at an early age. The family resides on a farm two miles norn of
Shaw. His wife, Mrs. Lena Rice, survives, along with several Children.
Kathleen, Lena, Opal, Nina, George, Raymond, and James Rice reside at home.
Mrs. Gray, Mrs. L.W. Brown, 219 South Lafayette, S. R. Rice, 508 West Third
Street, and Floyd Rice, 801 South Western Avenue, reside in this city, Another
son James Rice resides in Parsons.
