Notes for Don Melvin Shumway

Don Melvin Shumway, of Orem was joyfully reunited with his beloved wife on April 13th, 2007.

Dad served in the Army and Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from many
years of service at Geneva Steel, where he was an active Union Member.

He was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Dad enjoyed hunting, fishing, and many other outdoor activities. Dad enjoyed model training in which he built and
designed all of his own buildings. Dad loved working with his hands.

Survivors include his children: Lloyd Melvin Shumway of Nibley, UT; LaDawn (Kevin) Livingston of Thorton, CO;
Judy (Dennis) Peterson of Hyde Park, UT; Karla (Dan) Carter of Orem, UT; Debra "Debbie" Shumway of Payson, UT;
Kelly (Jason) Coppieters of Brigham City, UT, 2 brothers Jay Shumway and Nyle Shumway, 22 grandchildren and
5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Eunice Shumway, a brother Elvin Shumway, and his beloved wife
Thea Jane Shumway.

Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
