Notes for Harold Silas Shumway

ANDERSON Services for Harold "Si" Shumway Jr., 74, of Anderson will be at -- p.m. Saturday at the Redding Alano Club.

Mr. Shumway died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at his residence.

Born Dec. 4, 1929, in Worcester, Mass., he moved to Shasta County in 1964 from Connecticut.

He was -- U.S. Air Force veteran and staff sergeant in the Korean War, -- retired sales manager for Park Marina and Harrison's
Marine Center, life member of the Disabled American Veterans, honorary lifetime member of the Redding Alano Club, former
president of the Redding Alano Club, and former president and member of the Nor-Cal Dog Training Club.

Survivors include wife Zoe; sons Peter of Mont Alto, Pa., and Larry Laahs of Grants Pass, Ore.; daughters Kimberly Shabman
of Clearwater, Fla., Pandora Hailissey of New London, Conn., and Samantha Shumway of Groton, Conn.; 11 grandchildren;
and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by Lawncrest Chapel in Redding.
