Shumway, Peter (1875? – 1 JUL 1910)
Peter Shumway died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Shumway in
western Pine Valley, Clark County, July 1, 1910, aged 35 years. He was taken sick
about a year ago, his sickness developing into consumption. He was a large strong
man, but the dread disease gradually wore away his strength. He was born in
Vernon County, and came here some years ago with his parents. He was an honest,
hard working, upright man. Beside his parents he leaves three brothers and one sister.
The funeral was held at the home on Tuesday, Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating, burial
taking place in Pine Valley Cemetery.
