GEORGE W. SHUMWAY is a son of William P. and Mary Shumway, and was born in
Charleston, in 1850. His wife was Miss Catherine Bacon, of Delmar, Pennsylvania
He has a farm of 80 acres in Charleston.

George W Shumway, died at the family home on Shumway Hill last Saturday, following a short illness, death due to
Locomotor Ataxia. Mr Shumway was 71 years of age, having been born in Charleston, May 10, 1850, the son of Palmer
and Mary Shumway, both deceased. The funeral was held Tuesday; burial in the Shumway Hill Cementery.
