Elton Romeyn Shumway, 79, of 106 Main Street died Saturday, March 19, 1960 in Wellsboro Hospital.
Born October 13, 1880 in Wellsboro, he was the son of Davillo and Corey Avery Shumway, and
was a member of Wellsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church.
A photographer for over 40 years, Mr Shumway was a past grand and 50 year member of
Stony Fork Odd Fellows Lodge.
Surviving are his widow, Lulu Roblyer Shumway, a daughter, Mrs Edgar L Hudson of Los Angeles,
Calfornia and two sisters, Mrs Dora Seagers of Berwick and Mrs Thomas Lindsay of Breesport, NY.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30, Pastor W C Anderson officating. Burial
was in Wellsboro Cemetery.
