Lawrence D Shumway
Lawrence D Shumway, 75, of Wellsboro RD 6, died Thursday, January 1, 1959.
He was a retired farmer. Survived by his daughters, Mrs Lilian Ely of Wellsboro RD 2 and Mrs Doris Ayers of Wellsboro;
brothers Luther and Ross of Wellsboro RD, Peter of Middlebury Center RD 2; a sister, Mrs Edith Hodder of Johnson City;
eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild, two step-daughters, Mrs Alma Maggs of Bethkehem, Pa and Mrs Grace Piccililli
of New Haven, Conn. and two stepsons, Rody Bergquist of Elmira, N Y and J Bergquist of Beaver Dams, N Y. and son, Theron
of Wellsboro.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm, Saturday. Rev David Burrows officating, Burial was in the Wellsboro Cemeetery.
