He married Hepzibah Shumway, daughter of Peter Shumway, on November 12, 1741. He was a lieutenant in the colonial
service from Sutton 1755 to 1761. He lived in Sutton, Douglas, Royalston and Croydon, New Hampshire, where he died
on August 29, 1810. All chldren were born in Sutton except for Hannah who was born in Douglas in 1754.
