was the daughter of Peter Shumway and Moriah Smith. Mary died August 29, 1747
in Oxford, Worcester, Massachusetts , at 39 years of age.
He married Susannah March January 13, 1748/1749 in Sutton, Worcester, MA.
Susannah died in Plainfield, MA.
Caleb was the executor of his father's will and was given half of the Barton homestead
farm in Oxford Village(MASS) and any residue remaining after bequests. He also bought a
tract of land on Prospect Hill from David Towne and later removed to Charlton(MASS).
