Notes for Cheryl Neeley

Cheryl Neeley West, 76, passed away Oct. 30, 2006, at her home in
Smithfield, Utah. She was born April 18, 1930, in Preston, Idaho, daughter
of Clarence and Hatti Shumway Neeley. At the age of three the family moved
to Cornish, Utah. She grew up in Cornish and graduated from North Cache High School.

She married D. Leon West on Aug. 3, 1951, in the Logan LDS Temple. Cheryl
and Leon lived in Logan while Leon finished college. Then they moved to Preston,
where Leon taught school at Westside. In 1957 they moved to Smithfield. They are
the parents of three children, Kyle, Jeff and Patti. Cheryl was a member of The Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was active in her church all her life. She taught
her children the gospel and served faithfully in many auxiliaries of the church.

She loved working in the yard with her husband. She was grateful for the loving concern
of all her friends and family during her illness, and the special care of her husband and
children.

She is survived by her husband; two sons and one daughter, Kyle L. (Susan) West,
Jeff N. (Annette) West of Smithfield, and Patti, (Todd) Seeholzer of River Heights; seven
grandchildren, Leslie (Matt) Larsen, Zachery West of Driggs, Idaho, Tyrell West of
Smithfield, Jason (Andrea) West of Mink Creek, Idaho, Channing, Paige and Morgan
Seeholzer of River Heights; two great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother,
Beth Cherry of Meridian, Idaho, Reed (Pat) Neeley of Ogden, and sister-in-law, LaRue
Ballard Neeley of Smithfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Lynn Neeley, Kay Neeley,
Venna Fackrell; an infant son; and brothers-in-law, Cecil Cherry and Lynn Fackrell.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Stones and his staff, the nursing staff and doctors
at Logan Regional Hospital who attended to Cheryl’s care and Intermountain Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Smithfield 10th ward,
345 E. 300 South. Viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral home,
85 S. Main, Smithfield, and from 9:30 to 10:30 Saturday at the church. Interment will
be in the Smithfield Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online
