Norma Hatfield (Shumway), 87, died December 29 in Mesa AZ. She was born April 16, 1917 in Pinedale AZ to Elijah and
Mary Ann Thomas. She was married to Kent C. Shumway who passed away in 1972. She later married Sterling Hatfield who passed
away in 1991. She is survived by her children, Sheron Plumb (Paul), Jed (Nedra), and Anona Leishman (Robert), 14 grandchildren,
34 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister Winifred Scott (Jimmy). She was a lifetime member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many different capacities. Her funeral will be held at the Centennial Ward Chapel
on the corner of Mesa Dr. and University in Mesa at 10 AM, Tuesday, January 4, 2005, with a viewing one hour prior to the funeral
service. Interment will be at the Pinedale Cemetery Tuesday afternoon January 4, 2005. Bunker's Garden Chapel handled
the arrangements.
