PROVO--Mrs. Sarah Ann Potter Shumway, 71, widow of Samuel Shumway, died Wednesday at her home in Vineyard after an illness of one month.
She was born November 9, 1866, in Beaver, a daughter of William George and Artimisia Washburn Potter. She was married to Mr. Shumway on February 3, 1885, in Kanab. They moved to Vineyard in 1905. Mr. Shumway died in 1919.
Surviving are four sons and three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Anderson, Burley, Idaho; Melvin and Douglas Shumway, Lindon; Mrs. Beatrice Draper, American Fork; Bradford and William Shumway and Mrs. Afton Burmingham, Vineyard; 33 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren.
