Miss Bertha E Day of 29 North Holden Street was married to Oscar A Shumway of Sherman, Vt, at the Bapist
parsonage this morning by the Rev. J H Spencer. The marriage was a very quiet one. The bride is a well known
and popular in this city., and Mr Shumway is a prosperous farmer in Sherman, where they will make their home.

The Baptist Sunday school gave Mr and Mrs Oscar Shumway a surprise party Tuesday evening. Refreshments were
served, including mush and milk and maple sugar. The evening was a pleasant one.
