Notes for Minerva Shumway

In the US Census of 1850 Minerva Shumway Paul (21) and her husband William A Paul (21)
were living with her parents, Amos Shumway (57) and Fanny Wilson (53) on a $1,400 farm
in Le Ray, Jefferson, New York.

In the US Census of 1870, Minerva Shumway (42) and her husband, William Paul (43)
are residing in the Town of New York, Caldwell, Missouri on a farm valued at $1,600 and
has a personal estate of $400. Minerva, William and their three children, Mary M. Paul (16),
William C. Paul (15) and Ida Paul (6) were all born in New York State. The three childen
had attended school within the last year. Also living with Minerva and William Paul are
her parents, Amos Shumway (79) and Fanny Wilson (73). Amos and Fanny were born in
Vermont.
