keeping house, born in New York. Their children, Jane, age 7, Loren, age 4, and Ida, age 1, all born in Wisconsin.
Living with the family is the mother of Jane Eliza Galloway Shumway, Jane Galloway,
aged 62, without occupation, born in New York. (Jane Eliza Dewey Galloway died
on January 14, 1878 in Green Lake County, Wisconsin. Volume: 01; Page: 0013; Reel: 033;
Image: 2332; Index Volume: Sequence #: 117182.)
Also living with the Shumway family was grandson of Walter and Jane Eliza Dewey Galloway.
His name was Asher Galloway, age 11, attending school, born in Canada.

Eliza, age 18, helping mother, Ida Louise, age 12, at home; Walter I., age 6, at home; Florene, age 2,
at home, all born in Wisconsin.
Also living with the Shumway family is still, Asher Galloway, nephew, age 21, farmer, born in
Canada, his father was born in New York City and his mother was born in Canada. (If it can be
proven just which one of the sons of Walter and Jane Eliza Dewey Galloway that was the
father of Asher Galloway there could possibly be considerable linage. It will also be very
interesting to find more information about Asher Galloway since the 1880 census. Did he marry
and have children?)
