is a c & joiner and has an estate valued at $300. Margaret can read and write and was born in Ohio.
All three children were born in Ohio.
In the 1870 US Census, Joel Shumway (52) is a carpenter and resides in Auroraville, Poysippi,
Waushara, Wisconsin. His wife, Margaret Stultz has passed away and Joel lives with his
second son, Sylvester Shumway (29), wife, Harriet Brown (27) and children. Frances Alma Shumway (8),
John Sylvester Shumway (7), Martha Ida Shumway (3) and Wilmer Joseph Shumway (1). Joel is a
carpenter and Sylvester is a farmer.
