Emmons Shumway, a respected resident of Brookfield, died at his home in that place, Thurday, after a month's illness. He was
the son of Mr and Mrs Oliver Shumway snd was born in Massachusetts, July 4, 1832. The family moved to Pennsylvania
about 50 years ago. Mr Shumway retired several years ago from active and successful farming and had made his home in Brookfield.
He is survived by his second wife, Mrs Malinda Riffle Shumway, and four sons, George Shumway of Austinburg; Fred Shumway
of Cowanesque; Frank Shumway of Lindley, and Uri Shumway od Addison. The funeral services were held from the Baptist
Church in Austinburg Saturday, Rev G S Miller of Knoxville, officating; interment in Woodlawn cemetery.
