"...his name appears as a member of the 9th Regt. commanded by Col. David Brewer;
also among other signers to this quaint document:
'To the Committee of Supplies--We the subscribers non-commissioned officers and soldiers
commanded by Johathan Bardwell in the late Col D. Brewer's Regt. having not received the coats
proposed by the Congress desire you to deliver to the said Captain the coats stipulated by
Congress for us. Camp Roxbury, Oct 31, 1775.'
