Asahel Adams Shumway's letter of March 3, 1903 to Herbert Paine Shumway. Asahel was the author of the "Genealogy of the Shumway Family in the United States of America".

Asahel also had a shoe store in Philadelphia, Pa in the early 1900's. The store was located, near the Independence National Historic Park, at 311 Market St.
