interested in any info about Merriam link to us shums. Jotham Merriam (1784-1820) married Sophia Shumway (father Jacob Shumway). My wife, Merriam, traces back to Concord MA (DAR, etc) Since early, Shums were in that area, I'm wondering if my daughter's gene pool is more like a wading pool! ha ha.
