My only connection to the Shumway family is through a great grandfather that my grandfather never knew past four years of age. Either Raymond Shumway left or was thrown out for drunkeness by my great grandmother Josephine Christina Paulson who lived most of her life in Luverne, Minnesota in Rock County. My grandfather Roy Clause Paulson was born on 8 Sep 1907 and died in Mar 1981. Family legend has it that Raymond's ancestry was German, yet no one can say for sure.

If anyone is familiar with a Minnesota strain of Shumways I would appreciate hearing from you.
