If you are referring to Brigham Young of Vermont, NY then Utah, then his parents were John Young and Abigail Howe. Brigham was born june 1, 1801 in Whitingham, Vermont. He was 9 of 11 children. He later had 40 some children with 20 wives. He ordained 3 of his sons. Brigham Young Jr. , Joseph Angell, and John Willard. As far as I know, Brigham Young University was founded by Brigham Sr. and he was the first President of the Mormon Church. If his Son Brigham Jr. was ever president, I dont know, and tracking who his mother was may be difficult as Brigham Sr. had so many wives.
